The Mystery of President Trump and RFK

Earlier this week, Trump said, “Operation Warp Speed, people say, is one of the greatest achievements ever in politics or in the military.”

Perhaps a slight exaggeration, but Operation Warp Speed (OWS) was indeed a magnificent achievement. Experts thought it might take much longer to develop and test vaccines, but OWS created a unique cross-agency and cross-sector partnership, radically reduced bureaucracy, and used innovative financial guarantees to create the fastest vaccine development in history.

It is therefore curious that HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy has done perhaps more than anyone else in the United States to undermine and attack President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed.

Look at RFK’s actions over the past few months:

• He replaced all the members of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. One of the replacements was Robert Malone, who has said that the COVID vaccine is a "symptom" of a larger conspiracy to "reorganize society towards global communism" and to "deindustrialize and depopulate the world." In other words, Operation Warp Speed was part of a global communist takeover!

• Another of RFK’s replacements on the advisory committee was an MIT management professor (Retsef Levi). Levi has said that the vaccines developed by Operation Warp Speed “cause serious harm including death,” and “we have to stop giving them immediately!”

• Just this week, RFK fired [or demanded that the White House fire] the brand-new CDC Director Susan Monarez, because she resisted his demand to “accept, without question, the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices” — that is, the same committee that includes multiple people who oppose the results of Operation Warp Speed.

• RFK ordered the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to cancel nearly $500 million of contracts to develop further mRNA vaccines. Nothing could be more opposed to Operation Warp Speed. BARDA was a central component of Operation Warp Speed, and the contracts here were merely continuing the work done by Operation Warp Speed.

Someone should ask RFK on the record what he thinks of Operation Warp Speed. Does he agree with his hand-picked advisors that Trump’s historic achievement actually caused deaths and was even part of a global communist conspiracy? Why does RFK want to cancel anything that even remotely continues the work of Operation Warp Speed?
